I don't think you have anything to worry about. I'm using a 1500 Suburban with
a 5.3 liter pulling 7,000lbs. Has a 3.73 axel. Could use more power but I don't have seventy thousand plus tax to buy new. It climbs hills with some effort but working the trany and turning off the air does the trick. My biggest
complaint are expansion joints in the interstates. I get the pogo stick ride
or some call it porposing and that is tough on passengers and the Burban.
Buying a new TT may eliminate that because the axels are further apart front
to back. I wish someone could enlighten us on that. I experience this mostly
in Wisconsin and no other state although many have said its a problem in other
states also. Has no affect on passenger cars. The wife had to have her head
stitched up from constantly ramming the ceiling while we road their pogo stick
interstates. If you ever go to the Dells be prepared for the ride of your life
before you get there.
