The 2010 Oddy is a very capable TV. We may consider one in the future to tow our 23' Airstream.
Unless they make Honda Odysseys different north of the border I must be missing something. I have an 08 and it's great for moving groceries home but much more than that forget it. A 23' Airstream? Uh..... hmmm.
Realistically, a 3-4000 trailer is okay but that's about it. Also, be sure you get the factory "blessed" tow package installed (to the tune of about $1200) or you void your tranny warranty just by having a receiver hitch installed.
Don't get me wrong, the Odyssey is one of the best vehicles I've ever owned for hauling the kids around and everyday driving. But a towing beast it is not. One of the main gripes I have and something limits it (or my 08 anyway) is the inability to lock the 5spd tranny into 4th gear. Towing would be a nightmare in that the tranny would hunt between 4th/5th constantly.
I have never towed a mile with mine as I have a diesel 2500 truck. OP, you can certainly tow things with the van but go in with your eyes wide open (as in don't go buy an Airstream :) )
