That's what my dealer told me.... I also got a similar story about 5 years ago from a different dealer when I sold a popup to a family friend and was helping her get her Odyssey setup.
Both dealers told me if you pull for service with a receiver hitch installed and don't have the tow-package installed your tranny warranty is voided. Maybe some come with it from the factory but I'm thinking it's rare.
