2010 Palomino Thoroughbred T291

Hey guys

My friend is selling one of these and I'm interested in it. However, I can't find much of anything about them on the internet.

He is asking $11,500 and I have no idea if that is a fair price or what the long term durability of this TT is.

It is as clean as a whistle and he only used it a handful of times.

Thoughts? Good buy or run away?
  • Palomino products are considered to be a bit on the low end of quality.
  • Almost all travel trailers have limited lifespan unless well maintained, water is the enemy and it is insidious. If you're not watching seams at least twice a year it will find its way in and once it's there it's going to ruin the trailer. If your friend is the kind of person who is anal about maintenance then it could be worth it, though half of original selling price for an 8 year old trailer seems a bit high. However if it's a known quantity to you then you can essentially take the price vs a comparable unit on a dealer lot as a bit of a risk premium which could well be worth it. Either way before spending that kind of money I'd have a mobile RV tech do an inspection, a few hundred dollars for their time is a lot cheaper than pretty much any repair you can do to an RV.

As far as specs, here's fairly complete info on the 2011 version which is likely the same as the 2010.
