2011 F550 - What's it worth

My father has a 2011 F550 4x4 crew cab RV hauler by Classy Chassis's. The truck is completely decked out with an aluminum RV bed, air ride, air hitch, etc. and has 40k miles. He's toying with the idea of moving away from RV'ing and he's asking me to help him sell his truck and trailer.

Does anyone have a good resource I can use to find a fair value for this truck. It was over $80k new and is in like new condition. I'm finding it hard to find comps on the internet. Most of the F550's I find are cab and chassis's and/or are fairly basically equipped for landscape or construction work.

    You can get a new Class 5 with upfits for under $60k out the door, so $50k might be a little high. A top of the line fully optioned new one is about $80K OTD.

    Over $50k for a 5 year old truck with a first year engine and weak exhaust brake does not sound like a great deal, but like you said, you don't see them much and they are expensive new. If it really has air ride that will add to the value a little.

    It is a Lariat, crew cab, 4x4 diesel. It has electric steps on both sides and a super cool set of air horns :-)

    I ran the value for an 2011 F450 Lariat W/40K on nada, and it comes to $45,000 clean retail. I would say your truck is worth somewhere north of $50K. Just a guess on my part though. Is it lariat trim? Crew cab? 4X4? etc. I wouldn't mind seeing a pic of it just for fun if you can post one. Good luck at any rate.

    I called the dealer I bought my truck from just recently and he gave me a ballpark figure. Or, a credit union has given me a figure to work with on a vehicle I used to have.
