I've owned 3 new 7.3's and thought they were the best trucks made but after owning this 2014 6.7 I forgot all about the 7.3's !! This truck is a BULL DOG when it comes to towing I have had it about a year and a half with not one problem...just add fuel and go . If the wind is behind me I can avg. about 12 to 13 mpg loaded if I'm bucking a strong head wind about 9 mpg. I have to add DEF about every 1000 miles loaded and when I'm not pulling the trailer I add DEF about every 2 or 3 months about 5 bucks at the Pilot. I would rethink about getting the gas truck to do a diesels job but,good luck with what ever you end up with.
