Yes , my early 99 Superduty was as loud as any I've heard ,IMO there were a lot of them more quiet then mine . It finally wore its welcome out after nearly 16 years, great truck, but no power compared to the new ones, one of the reason, plus as said the maintenance n cooling system , additive etc. to finally trade it in .
