Ahh the 20% rule...
I gotta admit that I never followed it, or any rules when I first started. But that was in the days before the internet and reliable info wasn't so easy to get...
Come to think of it.... Maybe the reliable part is about the same, but we have a LOT more info available now, some good some average, and some bad. We just gotta sort thru it and decide for ourselves what makes sense.
I had some pretty scary setups back then. Fortunantly I learned and lived thru it.
I think that the 20% rule does have it's place. For a newbie that is not understanding all the different numbers and what they mean... The 20% rule is easy enough to understand and will usually keep someone out of trouble.
It doesn't apply to everyone, and those that start with it may later start to "crunch the numbers" as they gain experience.
We just all gotta remember that not everyone is at the same level in the RV game.
