Ugh, we traded in our 04 Ram 1500 quad cab and the WDH was what I was thinking about that one. Now, with your comments Hawkeye, having a look at the hitch on the Yukon, I can see that isn't going to work.....
The Yukon is a 1500, and my first post should have said an upgraded trans cooler, as it does have the factory tow package. I have read a lot of forums posts that with the 1/2tonners, most people were advising major satisfaction with a larger cooler, especially for mountainous travels, which we would be doing 1/2 of the time. My heaven is stream fishing for small rainbows in the Sierra's with the Mrs. prefering an ocean view.
We were both pretty devistated about the thought of not being able to tow either of those two trailers. We've been looking for years for just the right one for us and had finally found them this past year. Now, it looks like we need to start over with a different mindset. Either that or on end up on the road with a damaged TV & TT or just plain dead. Not a chance I want to take.....
After the advice above, we looked at Keystone again last night and identified the Bullet 286QBSWE who is 5,298lbs dry/530lbs hitch weight. The finishes look to be pretty good, but with the dramatic reduction in weight, i'll have to see one in person as i'm really keen on the unit feeling solid inside. I don't want to feel like i'm in a tin can.
If anyone has any other suggestions for a really nicely outfitted ultra light BH over 25ft, i'd greatly appreciate the suggestions! Thanks again!
