Sadly this is just not the case. Here is Fords own TSB:

No - proceed to Step 3.

Step 3- Remove the left hand cylinder head. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-01.
Replace all eight (8) exhaust valves and valve seals.

As you can clearly see from Fords own TSB, the valve issue affects 2011 through 2013 engines. :E The problem is this is ALL VALVES that went into these engines. It's not like Ford got a bad batch of valves and only 5 thousand engines were effected. If you have this engine you have the same valves and tune as the guy down the street that dropped one! :E

The really sad part is Ford is only replacing the left bank valves when they know both banks are effected. :E


OP these engines are a good-bad situation.

The good is the base engine is a good design so once they fix the valves problems the turbo problems and the fuel system problems in 2015 it "should be" a good engine.

The bad is, there is a lot of problems with some the things they put into these engines which causes big problems.
