Have a 2012 CM, 5.7, 4wd, tow etc... and tow a 32' 11" TT (Yellow Sticker DW of 5980) with no problems. Had the AIP flash done at my 10k service and have had no issues. Look on Tundra Talk, the "howling" noise is a very rare exception.
BTW, I would say that although I am comfortable towing the weight of our TT, I would definitely not go any heavier.
