FWIW, I have a 2012 Sequoia (Tundra frame,DT, etc) and it has worked well for 25K miles.
Reasons not to buy: I'm not happy with the gas mileage, but no complaints other than that.
One of the key reasons that I had to buy was the fantastic service I've had on my previous Toyota (granted, it is Prius) and the good results that No. 1 son had with his Tundra. Other than the initial purchase (I don't like buying vehicles), I've never had a bad result at a Toyota dealership, but have never had anything other than routine service on the Sequoia and 1 recall on the Prius.
