Gonna start doing my own oil changes, using shell rotella but looking for a good oil filter. also when its time any vids out there on the fuel filter replacements?

In regards to fuel filter replacement I found it to be a PITA mostly because GM mounts the filter so close to the engine leaving little to any room to get a band wrench in there.
Madjack performance sells a spacer you can install that moves the filter housing out about 1/2" which is all that is needed. That combined with a small plastic filter door you cutout of the fender liner makes fuel filter changes a breeze now.
