The throttle lag or often referred to as "dead pedal" is well known on the 2011-2014 Duramax trucks and is thought to be in the factory tuning to reduce soot output during low boost fueling conditions. Its one of the worst characteristics of my 2012 so much to the point I am considering aftermarket EFI live tuning to get rid of it
Sounds like GM may have done some improvements in the tuning of the new 2015 HDs based on what you are saying about no throttle lag.
Surprised the ride would be any different since everything under the body is the same between years.
