Here is the plan for our EIGHTH annual trip over the Washington State's North Cascades Pass (SR-20) to see the beautiful changing fall colors. We're doing a three night caravan. October 11th, 12th and 13th. Last year we had 30+ campers in the caravan. This year where staying TWO nights at Silverline Resort. If anyone wishes to caravan along they are welcome.Here is what and where.Leave Haggen's in Arlington, Friday October 11th 5PM SHARPArrive Sauk Campground (halfway down the page) in about 1 hours.Leave Saturday morning and travel SR-20.Stopping at a couple of great view points along the way to enjoy the view and take pictures. As always were still planning some free time to explore Winthrop.Arrive Winthrop, Silverline Resort On Pearrygin Lake in Winthrop. Reservation have been made Saturday night Potluck with prize drawing following. Then the huge campfire. And stay 2nd night at Silverline to relax. Wish we could go but we're LA bound. Enjoy, It's a beautiful ride over 20. If you can on the way back, take the Old Chumstick hwy North out of the east end of Leavenworth to Plain and Lake Wenatchee then back to Hwy 2. Dump your tanks at the rest stop on hwy 2 a couple miles west of where you get onto it from Lake Wenatchee.Duallys watch for narrow bridges and high curbs.

Aye, sadly, I'm part of the not going to be able to make group this year, the new home is sucking up all my time and money and the truck camper is slated to go east of you to Moses Lake here later this month to visit with friends we rarely get to see.

I can think back a couple years when I made that same leisurely drive. It was a beautiful drive.

We spent the night in Bridgeport right on the Columbia River.

half day at work today, off at noon. then we start making our way to Winthrop. our plans were to stay the night tonight at spring canyon behind grand coulee dam but its closed because of the government crap. so we will stay the night at coulee play land resort in grand coulee. then tomorrow a nice slow drive up to Winthrop. yes, the day is finally here!

we will also bring fresh cranberry sauce if we can find them. we tried walmart today but they didn't have any. we will try a couple other stores.

on edit: we found fresh cranberries, so add that to the list.

I got a call from silverline resort last night where we are gathering, to confirm our reservations. it just gets me more excited for the trip. we will arrive there on Thursday and see most of you on Saturday when you arrive from the caravan. then we will leave on Monday. we look forward to this event every year.
