My 2015 did something similar. Ended up changing the throttle position sensor. At 1st Ford wouldn't find a code. My Scan Gauge showed some sort of pending code (not sure what that kind is called). Once I told Ford that they said we found the problem and fixed under warranty.
On another note, I had an engine overheat code, turned out to be a bad temperature sensor. Not warranty and 3 hours labour to change the sensor.
