I faced exactly the same decision 2 years ago. If it had just been a weight issue I would have gone with the F-350. My house is at the end of a 600' narrow, winding drive with a turn around at the end. The F-450 turning radius is significantly smaller. That's what sold it.
If it's only about weight for you, go with the F-350.
