6.7 with 3.55 rear-end
Going to be a huge difference in fuel mileage, for those that don't understand torque, that is what allows a diesel to still beat a gas with a huge advantage in gearing!!
That rear end merely puts each engine in its correct operating RPM. Unloaded the 6.2 could likely pull <3.55 gears, and the 6.7 could likely pull 3.07s without a sweat. Similar horsepower is why the result was so similar, not voodoo gear reduction.
And yes, the diesel will likely beat the gasser mileage-wise, by 15-20% when loaded.
For an extra $10K, it should.
