OP, make sure you double check the payload rating. Then do the math on your weights. If you're good to go, then your good to go.
About the turbos. No problems that I know of. They did have problems with missing that melted the cats. They also had problems with timing chain slack.
As far as carbon problems. Yes, that was a problem. It costs tens of millions of dollars to revamp a fuel system and Ford did just that with the Ecoboost. They are not in the business of losing money so the problem was big enough to cause Ford spend a lot of money to now have a duel injection system on there Ecoboost.
I say good for them. They fixed it the correct way instead of bandaiding it up.
