WOW! Lots of hostility on this thrd! Read all fairly quick. Seems like a lot of good pts made by some. I tend to take people at there word, I have no reason to ridicule the OP. I do believe that he has some serious problems with his TC. I to would be %&^%#$ off after laying out that kind of $'s for a TC then end up having serious flaws. Being still full timed employed myself I wouldn't take it back to the manuf either! I wouldn't think using precious vaca days to take it several states away, they should have got it right the 1st time. The dealer should have sent back the same way they got it at Host's expense.
Sounds like there was some serious communication issues here, and some possible buyers remorse. I have heard & seen some serious issues with all newer TC's quality (or total lack of it) with all the major builders.
I know what you guys are saying about Fred not showing pics of the delams, but if he's anything like me I've never posted a pic of anything yet on any of the forums that I post on. I don't even have a digital camera! I still use 35mm film!
I think he took quite a "beating" on this forum, by some rude individuals, just because he bad mouthed his particular brand. Just because Host replaced a switch after the warranty expired to someone doesn't relinquish there responsibility for more costly fixes.
Sometimes when you lay out a lot $$$ for something & it goes "totally South" it leaves such a bad taste in your mouth that you just want to get rid of it at any loss!. I've been there with a new pickup I bought in the mid 80" a complete POS!
Anyway just my opinion on this thrd, I think we should be a little more open minded when someone "bashes" something they've bought (even if its the same brand that we own)!
I don't think that there is a quality built camper out there anymore period! If I ever get rid of my old 880 Lance, I don't know which one I would buy, there all full of problems IMHO!
