Tow rating and air bags are great marketing talking points but not all that relevant when comparing how the two trucks will perform and their durability. Ram has a much stronger frame (as strong as the ones on the GM trucks) and Ford transmissions have been more reliable than those on the Dodge/Ram trucks over the years.
I can't remember reading any stories about problematic spontaneous frame failures on any brand HD truck. Anyone else?
I had frame failures on a Dodge Powerwagon and on my full size Ford Bronco. Tough to repair as their is usually not enough steel there in the first place.
It also affects handling if you plan on carrying a beavy load in the bed as frame flexing transfers the load from one side to the other. People that note the improved handling after adding a rear anti-sway bar are directly addressing this problem. This is going to be even more pronounced with a DRW truck as the outboard tires have more leverage against the frame.
Every time the manufacturer's add more horsepower and up the tow rating they increase the strength of the truck's frame. GM did this in 2011 and Ram in 2013. Doubt they would do this for grins.
