2013 Ram 3500 or 2013 F350

Need to upgrage to a duelly. I will be pulling a 43’ Cyclone 18K GVW in mostly South Louisiana. I’m looking at the following:

2013 Ram 3500 4x4 with Aisin transmission and 4:10 axle ratio. Max tow 29,130

2013 Ram 3500 4x4 with Aisin transmission and 3.73 axle ratio. Max tow 23,630

2013 or 2014 F-350 4x4 with 3.73 axle ratio.
I know some are just Ford or Dodge so can you give details why one is better than the other.

Ram salesman told me 2014 will have airbag Suspension. May also be an option.
Thanks

  • Like fla-gypsy said, I'd be inclined to go with the best deal. Every one of those trucks will do the job and then some.

    Which do YOU like better?

By the way, if it were me, I'd stick with the ones with the 3.73 gear. These things are turning out so much power these days, rear ends in the 4's seem almost unnecessary. My 4.30 is such overkill for my Cyclone. Its not a waste. Its just not necessary in my opinion.
  • Since there both rated for far more than you need buy the one you can get the best deal on if all other things are equal. I am a confirmed Ford guy but money talks and I will not over pay for a nameplate. It's your money!
