I just found a used 2013 Ram 2500 CTD with 700 miles on it. It has every option as far as I can tell. It was only in service for one month and sold new by them. The dealership is asking $50,000 for it. Does this sound high compared to what any of you have already paid for a 2013? The new ones on the lot sticker around $59,000. I am thinking 47/48 would be more realistic for a used truck.

First question out of my mouth is WHY? Why is a 700 mile old truck sitting on a used car lot? Whats wrong with it. Was it a dealer or factory buy back. Repossessed or what? BTW in a few more weeks you will find brand new ones all over then place for that price as the dealers try to sell off their inventory in preparation for the 2014's.

Most likely a dealer demo. Depending on options I believe you could have ordered that truck for under $50k easily. I almost ordered a 3500 DRW CC 4WD with leather and the Cummins/Aisin 3.73 for $56K. The 2014 MY is just around the corner so I bet the dealer will be listening to all offers.

For that price I would pass on the '13 MY and order a '14 MY. They would have to sweeten the deal a lot better than the current offer to make me step into a '13 2500 RAM.

Factory buy backs are not sold to the public. Most likely it was a dealer demo vehicle....
