The 5.7 hemi can have 390 HP more than the 2500 HD 6.0 in early 2000 models and if his tow capacity is 9250 he is well within his towing limits. His 5.7 hemi will pull better than the 6.0 2500 HD, power wise with only 300 horses.
A 3/4 ton does not always tow better, especially in the hills where horsepower counts.
Power is only one part of the equation. Yes it has plenty of power, it could easily move 20,000lbs. The problem is the trucks payload, suspension, axles, tires etc. Depending on the cab configuration the Ram can have payloads as low as 1,000lbs! The tongue weight of that TT will exceed that on its own before any passengers even got in the truck. This is the problem with most 1/2 ton trucks, my own included.
