Towing aside, how much fun must these engines be to merge onto the freeway with when empty? I'm guessing that they'll actually make the 7000lb trucks they motivate feel downright light on their feet & sporty.
If they keep as much Torque management on them as mine has..... it will be okay. I'm really interested to see the 6.4 and GM 6.2 HD truck shootouts whenever that happens. Should be fun! Anymore any of the big three are kicking out amazing gas trucks, its just what styling do you like more!
Yes, going to very interesting to see how the GM 6.2L & the Hemi 6.4L do "head to head," and I'm sure Ford will tweak their 6.2L for more output to keep up. With the type of outputs these two engines can claim, I have to wonder if they'll be able to tow heavy trailers, even uphill, just as well as their turbo'd oil-burning brothers. (Not trolling the diesel guys, just a thought)
Imagine telling someone in 1998 that they could eventually buy a bone-stock gas pickup with ~450hp/450tq and a 6-speed shiftable automatic.
