I would go for the 4.10s to the other poster...it adds so much capacity and for $125 option it seems like a no brain-er in HD truck...
Does tow/haul change the shift points at all? If it does, I wonder if it is just holding on to 5th gear for higher RPM's necessary when towing, rather than shifting down to 6th. Then when you take it out of T/H mode, the shift points revert back to lower RPM's and it kicks into 6th gear. Does that make any sense?
It does make sense and tow/haul def changes the shift points. I've had it up to 80 mph though and still won't shift into 6th. There is a guy on the Ram forum that is a transmission engineer for these transmissions. I'll post the question to him if I can get his attention...
