2014, redo, foam in Dinnette Cushions

During our 2014 trip I found that my bones were quickly pushing through the foam on the dinnette seats... to the point that my rear end hurt.

I am more than 50 pounds lighter than I was just a few years ago.... it had to be worn out foam.

When we got home from our coastal trip from Lake Charles area to South Padre Island I made an upgrade my priority.

I'm pretty sure that a few of you might benifit by upgrading yours.
  • I'm measuring everything... checking it twice... and thrice

  • Which is a two part, composite... to provide comfort with firmness.... support for when I was fat... comfort now that I'm not so fat.

The piece on the right that is pushed up againest the "knee relief" is the big piece that I took out first.

All three pieces of foam shown are different densities and firmness.

  • After removing the big piece of foam I saw another zipper... it gives us access to the foam under my knees.

  • Time to remove the cover.... zippers... different chambers (pockets) for the existing foam.

The original tag gives me the diminsion

  • The blue area is thicker and softer... the light colored area was firm to give maximum support and still not be like a board.

Yes, I have taken over the dining table in the passive solar heat room at the house.... we are not in the camper for this project.

  • I like the way they are made.... this area is under your knees... keeps the cushion from having a hard edge that digs into my boney legs....

  • The first thing.... trying to figure out what I have... and can I keep the exisiting covers
