2014 Silverado 2500HD MPG
Upgrade our 2011 Armada to a 2014 Silverado 2500 HD with the 6.0L V-8. What can I expect for gas mileage when towing about 9,000 lbs.

In my experience, no matter what gas motor you pull with, towing most enclosed trailer return a common range of 8-11mpg regardless of weight.
Its driving speed and techniques that really makes the difference.
Why do I say that?
- With my current TT, a small V6 got the very same MPG as my current big V8.
- Pulling an empty 6x14 cargo trailer I get the very same MPG range.
- Towing the same 6x14 cargo trailer with my Dads Flex Ecoboost, is within the very same range.
In every case, 10-11 (even 12 on slower 2 lane highways) is easy if we slow down and limit passing.
