2014 Silverado 2500HD MPG
Upgrade our 2011 Armada to a 2014 Silverado 2500 HD with the 6.0L V-8. What can I expect for gas mileage when towing about 9,000 lbs.

I'm getting 10.5 in my 2015 2500HD Silverado with the 6.0L engine and 4.10 gears. Be prepared for it to scream going up steep hills. It sounds like it's working very hard but it really isn't. They are geared to provide the best horsepower and torque in the neighborhood of 5500 RPM's. Will it be as good as a Diesel would be? No, but I couldn't justify the extra money for the diesel and Allison transmission when I drive it 4,000-6,000 miles a year.
