With our 2011 GMC Sierra CCSB 4WD 6.0/6sp/3.73 pulling our ~8000lb trailer, we get 7.5 to 8.5mpg. If you get the 4.10 gears, you should get a bit better (I know it is counter intuitive, but an extra 200rpms allows it to use a higher trans gear (5th instead of 4th) which reduces rpms and results in better mpgs. The 4.10s won't hurt you at freeway speeds on mileage because you have plenty of transmission gears to run 80mph if you want...
