All excellent points 'sabconsulting'. Thanks. I thought about the floor shape for months, going back and forth between the ways you mentioned. Being locked in to one sized truck is a major concern, but I have a plan for a modification back to a traditional shape, post build, if I ever had to trade trucks. But considering the availability of huge #'s of Silverado's, even in one model year, I decided to go this route. Time will tell if it was a mistake.

Concerning the insulation, I found the same thing. Only the pink stuff in 1 1/2" available. I could have gone to a specialty place and had several higher quality foam insulation options, but chose the basic option for simplicity and cost.
