1x2's are awfully flimsy. That's how some of the manufacturers save weight at the expense of strength. Then they can load you up with toilets, showers, heaters, fridges, etc. So they end up with more weight and a weak structure.
I will take the extra weight of a stronger design and sacrifice on the added stuff later.
Not to say that there are not a couple of 1x2's on mine. But there are also 2x3's. Depends where you need extra support.
