I'm a GM owner but sounds a little fishy to me, especially when they say the did some testing at a GM test track. Maybe they agreed to the GMC winning if they got to use the track. Anyway, they need to show the tests instead just doing a condensed version. My personal opinion is they are all good trucks and the differences are not dramatic enough to say one is far better than the others.
This I agree with. Having recently been told by GM customer care that they would not entertain giving me a discount to fix my breaks (ruptured break line on 2005 Duramax - known NHTSA investigation) unless they were forced to under a campaign, I set out to look for a new truck....minus GM. They are all the same, some are refined in areas their competition is not, but they are all good trucks. I can tell you that there is nothing that demands a drastically higher price for the GM. I went with Ford, it had what I wanted when I wanted it and the dealer gave me what I wanted for mine.... With all the HP/Torque numbers being close, it just comes down to how much money are you willing to part with.

wow that 4.30 rear gear and that engine would pull both a GM and Ram behind your rv and not give it a thought. have you towed yet?

I have not, but I will be excited when I do though. The fuel mileage is surprisingly better than my 05 Duramax. Unloaded I would get 11`-13 mpg. Last weekend we drove up to Yosemite to tent camp and got 17 mpg (hand calc). We have had the truck for 14 days now and have right at 1500 miles. Boss Lady already has her sights set on a bigger trailer, a 5th wheel this time.
It was really hard for me to get this truck. I am 37 y/o and have owned a GM product since I started driving....I asked GM for parts at cost, that was the only discount I was asking for. Instead, they offered me $1,500 customer loyalty dollars towards the purchase of a new vehicle...nope, not going to happen. It may be a long time before I buy another GM product now.
It did come down to the Ram and Ford. Did a lot of looking...I got the 2015 Ford cheaper than the 2014 Ram with the same options I was interested in (14k GVWR, etc...). The big difference is the Ram can tow 30k and I can tow 27k, who cares, I won't be coming close to those numbers.
