2014 ZT280BH Zinger

Well I just sold my 2007 TC23SB last week and I have been on the hunt ever since. We fell in love with this Zinger trailer from Cross Roads. Can anyone please help me with whether or not its a good brand. We were also looking at the Jayco Swift 267BHS but we found the quality of the zinger was a lot better. The dealer told us that the swift was a entry level trailer compared to the Zinger. The biggest think that stood out was the resin counter top and stainless steel under mount double sink.It also comes with a roof ladder and a tri fold couch. I don't know much about cross roads and there rep in the trailer manufacturing world. Any input would be appreciated and would I get a better deal if I buy it through the winter months. My biggest fear is the height of this trailer it is 11ft5" with AC iam afraid of major wind drag.

Thanks

Thanks for the input I also found a 2014 Starcraft Autumn Ridge 289BHS which is the same interior style and layout but I have not seen it in person yet. I know that the swift and zinger are different classes but the prices are within less than $2000 between them. I know that that reduced there warrenty but I also heard that jayco's 2 year is a limited warrenty not bumper to bumper but then again this was just something I heard.

Don't know about Canadian prices but they are priced differently - sounds like a dealer was a tad high on price. The Autumn Ridge is the same as the Jayco Jayflight with different graphics and a one year warranty. Limited warranty? They are all limited including the Crossroads one year warranty and BS "12-point promise" warranty claims. The Jayco features their Magnum roof structure, a benefit in areas where high snow load is a consideration and laminated beam structure over openings like slides.

Terry town RV in Michigan is a Jayco and Crossroads dealer that does Canadian sales. RVDirect does the same for Jayco out of New York State - may want to see their prices!!!

  • Quality was better or features? Big difference.

I owned a Crossroads before they halved their warranty and had leadership issues (my opinion). It was a great trailer - so when it was time to look at a bunkhouse I went to look at the Zinger. Long and short we went with Jayco. I did not find the Zinger better assembled and the oozing butyl tape everywhere and raw edges were a turn off; the warranty was also shorter.

I'm not sure why your comparing a Swift against a Zinger since they are two different products. Take a look at the regular Jayflight series for a level comparison.

    Best of luck.
