- hone_eagleExplorerI also live in Canada,in fact Chrysler is a major employer in this area (mini van)
However
-canadian sales while significant are peanuts compared to the USA
for every minute of production to supply Cdn sales a plant runs for hours to supply american dealers
- chrysler truck sales will remain a distant third until they build another plant ,they are supply constrained .
Even if they build another plant would it be enough to over take GM?
HUMMM
that is food for debate.
GM fans admit they dropped the ball with the last refresh.
That will not last ,I bet they are going to surprise us with the next truck offering ,twin turbos aluninum construction - sound familiar ?
Ford remember has one arm tied behind their back this year ,one plant is off line and you can't sell what you can't build.
Chrysler is in the sweet spot -enjoy it for now ,because the other two are reloading. - ib516Explorer II

Why are we talking about sales in Canada? That's what the link discusses.
1) Because that's where I live.
2) Because the top two selling vehicles (not just trucks, vehicles) were pickup trucks. I found that interesting.
3) Pickup trucks are most often used as Tow Vehicles.
4) Because some people on these forums think RAM is always the distant third in sales, and the link proves that isn't the case. - TerryallanExplorer II

Because in most of the country it is winter, and we are board. And also because this is an international forum, and we just love to talk - Ron3rdExplorer IIIWhy are we talking about sales in Canada? That's what the link discusses.
- mtofell1ExplorerYep... amazing how many trucks are sold even with relatively high gas prices throughout the year. The various news articles I've read lately say SUVs and trucks are flying off the lots compared to the eco-sedans.
Maybe I should take advantage and go get that Prius I've always wanted :) - Charlie_D_ExplorerCanadian sales

Dream, Dream, Dream. All you got to do is dream.
I guess I was watching the liar on tv as I was reading what Ib had showed about the sales and I did not get to the bottom for the ford sales so at this point "what difference does it make"
sorry for the mess up.

All in good fun. I thought maybe is was some sort of inside comment that I didn't understand.
The pickup market is strong. All three(four) had their 1/2 tons in the top ten. - TerryallanExplorer II

None at all. Just fun to pick on one another. Next question. Why were you watching the Liar on TV? What he said is less important than reading this. Every thing he said is DOA - larry_barnhartExplorer

But what IS interesting is that GMC outsold Chevy. Totally different ratios than the US market.
(Oh and yes, combine Chev & GMC for total sales and they would be #2).
