- larry_barnhartExplorerWe bought our 08 GMC in 07 in time to drive to Florida for a cancer surgery on our son. It was ok going but coming back I felt this way about every rv of any style we saw "you lucky dog" Rving is the best way to travel. Nice to have the bathroom, bed and chair you like. I know you all probably understand.

I'm with you, when I do my racing, it's on a closed track in an appropriate track car, not in a 30K GVWR truck with a 14,000 lb. trailer hanging off the back. - Bionic_ManExplorer

Yes they did, they were the first and good for them! It's a shame the others had to play games, but with that said both Ram and GM/Chevy were going to do it until Ford said nope not ready yet. Had the other two went ahead they could have put that fact in their ads and most likely taken sales from Ford. But should'a, would'a, could'a but didn't and for that same on ALL of them!

Ford is the Bush of trucks. It was their fault :)

If I was still applying band-aids to the same platform since 1999 I would not want my claims to be subjected to the test either!
It's funny some of the guys on the Mobile Suites forum just could not believe the RAM could out perform their F450's.
But it did:B

Larry, I agree 100%...A Chevy/GM, Ford or even another Ram comes barreling by me on the highway and both of us are towing, I still have the stupid smile on my face knowing that I'm having a very enjoyable towing experience, in no hurry and am doing it safely. My truck could tow my 5er all day at a speed limit if I so desired, and I'm well within all my trucks limits....so, not much more matters in that scheme of things:)

Yes they did, and it was a good thing. Their ratings generally went down, which tells me the standard was needed so mfgrs where not inflating their numbers for sales. They are all guilty of it, IMHO there is no need for a 1/2 ton with more than 10K worth of tow rating.. Heck 8K on a 1/2 ton is too much for me.
