Although the V6 is actually 305 hp when you wind it up tight and tq is 269ft lbs.
How it will pull is akin to an early 2000s 5.3 V8 in a half ton.
It will pull the trailer capably, but it will work at it in the hills. As long as you're ok winding it up on the uphills and locking out a gear or 2 and letting the engine breath well the rest of the time too, it'll get the job done.
IMO, payload is not a big concern with the tongue weight. Call it 600lbs plus for the sake of argument, as long as you're reasonable with the additional "stuff" you're hauling in the truck bed. And if it is a bit much, a wdh can easily take a few hundred lbs and re distribute it for you.
As long as your expectations are moderate, it will do fine.
