I had a couple of Rangers and by far prefer smaller trucks for day to day driving. The Colorado is more modern and better looking of the Toyota and Nissan.
We'll just see if Ford's gamble to drop the Ranger is a good decision. They think the mass public will go ahead and buy the smaller trucks as they don't get appreciably less fuel mileage than their new generation full size 1/2 ton pickups.
I would think the Colorado would be an attractive substitution for a 1/2 ton truck for most owners.
