I have owned both a 2015 gas 3500 and currently own a 2015 3500 D/A. I towed up to 30K combined (or just over that) with the gas truck. I pulled that gas truck hard and up some of the passes here and it pulled well. It is not fast but it is steady. I traded back the gas simply because I had a 5500 that went down and forced the towing weight even higher so I got the new D/A and it is certainly a better towing experience. The D/A gets 3-4 mpg better across the board. I don't subscribe to the thought that the 6.0 cant tow above 10K. I have far exceeded that at high elevation and the truck will absolutely pull. It will scream doing it like all gas engines do, but who cares. The 6.0 is probably one of the best HD gas engines ever built. If you want a gas and don't want to pay the diesel premium, nothing wrong with a HD gas truck. The D/A is better in nearly every way ( except in complexity and cost to work on) but there is a price tag with the greater ease of towing.
