My 3500 srw just got up to 26.9 mpg empty in perfect conditions. Certainly not going to complain about that. Pulling it registers around 11 mpg.
Just can't get over the fact that a half ton with all the bells and whilstles is more than my 3500 with full features. Nuts. Think I'm missing the sun roof and 20inch wheels.
If your looking at a 2500, just go all the way to a one ton. Such a little jump and piece of mind. Think the difference with a 2015 2500 vs 3500 is 15300-17k pulling a fifth. never heard anyone complain about too much truck.
