When I had a Cummins I installed a Fumoto valve in place of the drain plug. I used an old plastic 6 gal outboard fuel tank to drain the oil into. It fits perfectly. Never spilled a drop and easy to dump out. For the filter cut the top off a 2 liter pop bottle and use it as a sleeve over the filter to catch any spillage. Got my filters from a Cummins dealer at a fair price or from Genos Garage online. Takes about 15 minutes to do the job plus whatever you grease. Half the price of a dealer.
