"Better" is a highly subjective term.
For a college student needing basic transportation, which is better... a $2000 Yugo or a $200,000 Rolls Royce?
For a company that makes money by selling vehicles, which is better... selling 100,000 diesel engine trucks a year or selling 50,000 diesel engine trucks a year?
For a teenager that has limited funds to get dinner after the football game, which is better... a $6 hamburger meal at McDonalds or a $500 burger from some steakhouse in LA?
Nice attempt at your argument though.
Lets not forget that comparing Ford to GM to Ram diesel engines isn't the same as comparing a Yugo to a Rolls Royce. One of the options doesn't cost a thousand times more than the other. We are comparing comparably priced trucks between Ford, GM, and Ram.
