The first fire truck I ever drove had a Detroit 6-71 powering it. Two T handles on the dash. Black handle was for normal shutdown, red handle was the emergency shutdown, think that one cut off fuel. I remember if pulled, you had to open the engine doghouse and pull a lever to reset it so the engine would start again.
