2015 Ram 1500 a Contender? Not.

My son has a 12 or 13 Ram 1500 Sport 5.7 Hemi and it has 1400+lbs CCC. Good enough for him and his 3 little girls, wife, camping gear and 17' ski boat. Not everyone tows a 25' TT with 750lbs of TW. Like someone else posted 75% of 1/2 ton owners probably never tow more than a utility trailer once in awhile. I've had trucks for as long as I can remember and never towed a TT until 5 years ago. Did I need a truck? According to some I just had a grocery getter since I didn't tow a TT. But my trucks were used for work, running to Home Depot to get building materials, bark for the yard, helping someone move stuff and whatever else I needed it for. While the Ram ED does have a lower CCC than it's competitors, that doesn't make it worthless. In fact my son would benefit from an ED since his wife drives the tuck to work. It would still haul their 3 little girls, camping gear and 17' ski boat just fine
