Those aren't actual specs they're siting. The fuel economy they posted is right off the brochure. They did not do their own test to find economy as does Truck Trend/Motor Trend & Car and Driver.
Besides, that the Ram is only a work truck Express ST (pretty much base truck) that is a Quad Cab (other's extended cab), and has a small and light 3.6L V6. The trucks I compared to were "crew cab", were midline models, not work trucks, and had heavier turbo V6 or V8 engines.
The other Ram was a regular cab.
The rams were the lightest configurations offered and not true to an everyday truck.
I don't know how much more clear they can make it. Pictures of the trucks on a scale in the article, then "scale weight" with a number beside it. :h But really, it doesn't matter to me as I don't own a 1500, nor am I in the market for one.
