I have started to turn on my cruise control and toggle down to second gear as I exit the freeway when I go to a Rest Stop for example. Really drops the speed.
Mine stays in until about 13mph.
As long as it stays above 1100-1200 RPM's, and out of first gear.
Yeah my old Ram was the same way, no 1st gear exhaust brake :(
which is pretty useful where I live and in some area's I travel.
New rig will do it nicely. Happy camper
The exhaust brake works perfectly in first gear in my truck ;)
