The best place to look for info would be on a ram truck forum.

Take it to dealer for a re-flash. All electronics and computers.

Yeah. It's the "shouldaboughtaford" issue. Several of my friends had the same problem. Pretty sure there is only one fix.

Hilarious! I traded my 11 ford 250 for her!

But it's while not towing at all.

Sounds like your tranny is searching for a gear somewhere between free rolling no load to a gear needed for low speed acceleration. A re-flash should help.

Many times improvements are made to the control systems in your vehicle, it is a normal part of product evolution. When your dealer preps your vehicle for delivery, they should check it to be sure all the latest software versions are installed, and if not, update as needed before delivery.

I have a 2015 RAM 3500 diesel with the 68RFE transmission. Chrysler came out with a major update to address several issues from DEF usage to transmission shifting towards the end of April, 2015. This may apply to you based on your vehicles options. None the less, I'd have your dealer do a scan and update on your truck.
