Yea, I am guessing the first 2000 miles (no towing) used about 2 gal of DEF, which would be right around 50:1.  I say guessing because after 2000 miles the DEF gauge read just under full.  After putting the first 560 miles on this trip it was down to the red marks, putting 2.5 gals put it right back up just under full. 
I am thinking that the use of DEF is not only related to fuel used, but also how it is burned. If I remember correctly the trucks system looks at the sensors to gauge the DEF use.  So it could be the hills thru PA, ND, and MT caused it to use more then normal.  But this is really just speculation on my part.
