Sweet looking truck. I picked one up two weeks ago, but haven't towed anything with it yet. I just traded in my bumper pull for a 36 foot fiver GVWR of 15500, which provided I keep the pin weight at around 20 percent should result in my keeping everything to spec. Like you, I got the factory airbag assist, but lost a couple hundred pounds of cargo capacity by going with the aisin tranny. Having destroyed an even half dozen transmissions over the year that has normally been the weakest link in my vehicles. I'm hoping that one is bullet proof enough to survive even me.
Keep it safe, and I can only hope I end up as pleased with my setup as it appears you are.
Hopefully you won't be in the same boat my 2014 Ram 3500 is in , just received my fourth recall, and still waiting on the recall for the track bar issue which will make the fifth recall in 18 months. Still waiting for my sixth recall that I should have got a few months ago.
Not a great track record for Ram, six recalls in 18 months . Some of them were or are potentially serious safety issues. It would be a good idea for anyone with the 2014 Ram to run their vin #, and make sure they are getting their recalls. According to some on the Cummins Forum they have yet to receive some of them. I have never received the R36 recall which is steering wheel harness issue, which shows on my Vin # as incomplete ,meaning it hasn't been done. Kinda hard to know unless you read the forums when you don't receive the recall.
