Yeah, one issue I have is that they filled the tank till 2 clicks. Well, the machine clicks whenever it thinks the tank is full, and with diesels this is usually caused by the suds in diesel. Personally, I think they should had filled it until they could visibly see fuel, that's what I do with my truck. Mythbusters had the best setup of all though, They had an external container with a measured amount of fuel and delimiters to see how much fuel was consumed over a certain distance.
As for Regen, I feel that no modern truck should ever have an active regeneration when cruising at a constant speed on the highway. Exhaust should be hot enough to passively regen during a road trip. Just about all 3 of the manufacturers engineered their exhaust systems to pull this off. It's the up and down temps of city / stop to stop driving that causes a buildup in the DPF as exhaust temps aren't hot enough long enough to burn things off.
